The focus is always on customers\u2019 wishes here. At PromoTex Expo 2020 we\ninterviewed co-founder Jakub Stojek about what\u2019s so special about his company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PE: Mr Stojek, when\nwas the Rascal company founded and what is the story behind it?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

JS: This adventure started while studying in 2012 when I participated in\nthe university project \u201cMini Enterpriese\u201d with a friend. The brief was to\ndevelop a product that could be sold to our fellow-students. We were inspired\nby the college jackets of American high schools in the 90s and started\ndevelopment and production. Through our circle of friends and networking with\nother universities demand rose quickly and after a short while we already\nsupplied many renowned Polish universities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

PE: Is\neverything actually produced in Poland? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

JS: Yes, this is important to us. The fabrics are largely produced in Lodz,\nby a very experienced factory. Garments are produced in Lodz and near Warsaw. Producing\neverything in the EU is another advantage \u2013 also for our customers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

PE: What does Rascal\nspecialise in, what makes you special?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

JS: Our flexibility when it comes to customization. Everything is\nmanufactured in accordance with customer wishes so that the clients can specify\nnearly all details themselves such as the silhouettes, colours, materials,\nfindings \u2013 whatever customers have on their mind, we put it into practice!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PE: Do you ask\nfor big minimum orders to be able to realise such individual wishes? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

JS: It\ndepends somewhat on the product but hoodies, for example, are available from 20\npieces. For socks, however, we have to insist on a minimum quantity of 100\npairs. In the early\ndays our companies produced for schools and universities almost exclusively.\nNow we ship to institutions and companies from all over Europe and production\nhas adapted accordingly. Today, we can deliver everything from small series to\nlarge volumes in the same consistent quality.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

PE: Which\ntechnologies do you offer and which machinery do you employ? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

JS: We try to respond to our customers\u2019 demands in time and in line with\ntrends and therefore also adapt the pool of machinery and the technical\nequipment accordingly. In the current catalogue we offer hoodies, Softshell\njackets, T- shirts & polo shirts, fleece and baseball jackets and various\ntextile accessories. We are also extremely versatile when it comes to textile\ndecorations: from embroidery, silk-screen and DTG printing, to thermal transfer\nand sublimation printing we can do everything in house. On top of this, we go\neven one step further and ship the collection with matching labels and\npackaging material.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

PE: <\/strong>How\ndo you address sustainability and are there any plans for the future?<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

JS: We pay plenty of attention to the ecological and ethical aspects of\nour business. These include local production to avoid unnecessary transport. We\nadhere to European social standards and act in strict compliance with the Code\nof Ethics of GWW<\/a>[RS(1]<\/a> . All fabrics used must be certified according to \u00d6kotex\nStandard 100. At present, we are busy obtaining GOTS and Global Recycled\nStandard certifications.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
