Kalina Magdzinska from Brands Fashion\u2019s sustainability team gave an\ninteresting insight into what the company does in her talk at PromoTex Expo in\nD\u00fcsseldorf in January of this year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Brands Fashion was founded in 1996 and is, in the company\u2019 own words,\nbrand leader in the field of sustainable workwear in Europe and the USA. Their\ncustomers include major discounters, do-it-yourself chain stores, famous\nfootball clubs, but also environmental organisations and other companies from\nthe field of workwear, corporate fashion, merchandising\/promotion and private\nlabels. The company provides support throughout the whole\nchain, from the initial draft design right through to delivery of the finished\narticle. It also provides help with comprehensive quality assurance measures and\nchecks that are carried out by independent test institutes. Brands Fashion\noffers the latest tailor-made solutions for storage, logistics, webshop and IT\nas well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In accordance with the company slogan, SOCIAL.GREEN.FASHION, a lot of importance\nis also attached to sustainability. Here too, Brands Fashion plays an exemplary\nrole in that potential clients are informed about any extra costs by transparent\nand proactive communication right from day one. Anyone concerned that this may\nput off any potential clients is in for a pleasant surprise, as Brands Fashion only\ncharges \u20ac 0.50 more per garment for an ecologically-sound fair-traded cotton T-shirt\nin comparison to a conventional product. A great deal of importance is\nattached to transparency here too, which is why the company works closely with independent\nneutral institutes and different certification authorities, including GOTS,\nFairtrade Cotton, Cradle to Cradle, Gr\u00fcner Knopf, Oeko-Tex, Made in Green and\nothers. This ensures that attention is paid to ecological and social aspects as\nregards the raw materials used, production, and right through to garment usage.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The whole process is open to scrutiny thanks to a tracking code which has\nalready been incorporated into the care labels used on the company\u2019s own brand,\nShirts for Life. This tool, called \u201cTrace My Shirt\u201d, is also used by other\nBrands Fashion customers to ensure transparency throughout the entire supply\nchain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The success of this policy is not just demonstrated by the company\u2019s steady\ngrowth. It is also illustrated by the steady increase in the proportion of products\ncertified by GOTS or Fairtrade Cotton and greater customer satisfaction. Major discounters\nuse the services of Brands Fashion today for the goods that they sell and also\nfor their employees\u2019 corporate fashion.
