Many retail companies currently\nhave to send their employees on short-time working. Other companies, for\nexample from food retailing or logistics, are looking for support in their\nstores or warehouses. ++++ The denim brand Levi&#8217;s would like to encourage its\nfans everywhere to support the creative industries, which urgently need help in\nthese uncertain times. Every day at 17:01, Levi&#8217;s hosts a variety of sessions\non social media, including music performances, style sessions, workshops and\nmuch more. ++++ The two start-ups <strong>BeWooden<\/strong>,\na small German-Czech manufacturer of wooden accessories and the sock specialist\nVon <strong>Jungfeld<\/strong> and <strong>CustomySocks<\/strong> from Mannheim\nrespectively, have thrown together their skills and combined production and\nsales of face masks. ++++ Numerous companies in the textile industry are\nchanging their perspective in the face of closed shops and switching to the\nproduction of face masks for protection against COVID-19. These include <strong>Burberry, G-Star, L\u00f6ffler, Gerry Weber<\/strong>\nand numerous designers. ++++ <strong>The PVH\nFoundation<\/strong> is providing $1 million for COVID-19 assistance, including a\n$100,000 donation to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund created by the UN\nFoundation and the Swiss Philanthropy Foundation, which will benefit the World\nHealth Organization and other partners. ++++ The German Textile and Fashion\nIndustry Association <strong>textil&amp;mode<\/strong>\nhas developed and published a guideline for the production of protective masks.\nIt contains all important information for MNS masks that are neither produced\nas medical devices nor as personal protective equipment (PPE). ++++ In view of\nthe current situation, <strong>OEKO-TEX<\/strong> is\ntemporarily adapting its processes with regard to the renewal of certificates\nand is streamlining the costs for production facilities.
