Specially developed by doppler for the car manufacturer, the new \u0160koda umbrella made from environmentally friendly materials combines innovation with ecological sustainability. In the future, it will be an integral part of the equipment of many \u0160koda cars and reliably protect the driver and passengers from the rain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What connects the Austrian family business doppler with the Czech car manufacturer \u0160koda? The idea of ecological sustainability as a key concern. In its search for external partners and the goal of resource-conserving procurement, \u0160koda found what it was looking for in the umbrella manufacturer from Braunau. At \u0160koda\u2019s \u201cWorkshop on Sustainable Innovation\u201d in the Czech Republic two years ago, doppler impressed with its sustainable umbrella ideas. The umbrella, which was specially developed in cooperation between the two doppler teams from Austria and the Czech Republic with \u0160koda, will gradually become part of almost all \u0160koda cars delivered from now on. \u201cThe aspect of sustainability always plays an important role in our quality standards. We are therefore all the more pleased that we can contribute to \u0160koda\u2019s environmentally friendly action plan with our umbrellas,\u201d says Ji\u0159\u00ed Fuka, Managing Director of the doppler site in the Czech Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n

Canopy made from recycled PET material<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Made from sustainable materials and distributed by doppler Czech Republic, the \u0160koda umbrella consists of a recycled canopy (rPET) with a PFC-free fabric finish that is water and dirt repellent. It also impresses with the use of 100 per cent industrially compostable material made from hemp fibres in places where plastic parts are generally used in umbrellas. \u201cWith the high quality and durability of our products, we at doppler also focus on ecological sustainability beyond production and materials. This means that we can reduce new purchases and, as a result, waste,\u201d explains Martin W\u00fcrflingsdobler, Managing Director of doppler. The joint branding of the umbrella demonstrates the connection between the two brands. \u201cThe umbrella is one of the very few parts of \u0160koda cars on which the manufacturer brand doppler is visible. This is a clear message that fills us with pride,\u201d he adds. Thanks to its modern and simple design, the \u0160koda umbrella from doppler impresses not only as a rain guard, but also as an accessory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a holistic action plan, \u0160koda is pursuing a roadmap towards sustainable mobility as part of the \u2018NEXT LEVEL – \u0160KODA STRATEGY 2030\u2019. In addition to the switch to CO2<\/sub>-neutral production at the plants in the Czech Republic and India and the use of recycled and reusable materials, it also promotes ecologically sustainable and innovative ideas \u2013 including the \u0160koda umbrella from doppler. \u201cOur vision of an ecologically sustainable future is a collective commitment that our partner network shares with us.
