PSI, the European network for the promotional products industry, is sending a strong signal for sustainability: The PSI Academy Awards, a successor to the former Sustainability Awards, recognize exceptional achievements and best practices in the European promotional products industry and underscore the growing importance of innovation and sustainability in a changing market. In close alignment with the goals of the European Green New Deal, which aims to make the EU economy climate neutral by 2050, PSI honors companies that are setting an example through forward-looking approaches in the areas of circular economy, resource conservation, and social responsibility. “With the PSI Academy Awards, we want to highlight outstanding commitment and promote sustainable innovation. Our goal is to support responsible behavior in the promotional products industry and set new standards,” explains PSI Director Petra Lassahn. ”We invite companies from all over Europe—regardless of industry or size—to submit their projects and innovations for one or more categories.”

A high-caliber, neutral jury of industry experts and sustainability specialists will evaluate the submissions according to defined, transparent criteria. The submission phase has already begun and will run until June 30, 2025. The application and selection process will be professional and transparent – guaranteed by PSI partner Green Product Award. “It is important to us to support interested parties throughout the application process and show them how to make their submission as effective as possible. Our partner, the Green Products Award, has been presenting awards for many years and is a competent contact who can answer many questions,” says Petra Lassahn.

The categories of the PSI Academy Awards 2025:

1. Best promotional products from suppliers in the following categories:

• Clothing and textiles
• Electronics and multimedia
• Lifestyle & accessories
• School and office supplies
• Bags, luggage, and travel

2. Best advertising material campaign by a retailer

3. “Company of the Year” (for retailers, industrial and commercial customers) and “Newcomer of the Year” (for retailers) as additional awards. The special prizes will be nominated by the jury. Newcomers are companies that are less than two years old at the time of submission.

The festive award ceremony will take place on September 11, 2025, as part of the PSI Academy Night at the Gürzenich in Cologne. The winners will be announced and the award winners, nominees, and guests will enjoy a memorable gala evening together.
