Stabila promotes up-and-coming skilled tradespeople

Stabila, a manufacturer of high-quality measuring tools and PSI member, has prioritised the promotion of up-and-coming skilled tradespeople for many years. One component of their comprehensive measures is the “My1stabila campaign”, which motivates young people to enter the skilled trades and will celebrate its fifth anniversary in 2025.
As part of this campaign, an experienced team from the measuring tool manufacturer is visiting ten training centres and Chambers of Commerce in Germany this year. During the teaching and practical sessions, Stabila employees present products relevant to a variety of trades, and instruct trainees in their use. There are discussions and q&a sessions with trainees and trainers, and suggestions for possible product optimisations are provided.
Stabila reports a very positive response to this form of promoting young talent. Under the hashtag #my1stabila, young tradespeople network with each other and with Stabila’s social media channels on Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok. Numerous posts and reposts show how training-related contributions are shared in the community. This gives young people around the world inspiration for their own professional future.
At the “My1stabila Day”, young trainees come to the company headquarters in Annweiler in the Southern Palatinate to take a look behind the scenes. In 2024, over 100 trainees and trainers visited the production facility on one day and learned the many steps required to manufacture a high-precision spirit level.
Another means of promoting young talent at Stabila is the sponsorship of national and German trade championships, which took place in Bühl in 2024 and are organised by the Central Association of the German Construction Industry. For this, over 60 young tradespeople from all 16 German states travelled to Bühl.
The “True Pro Ladies” campaign (hashtag #trueproladies) is specifically tailored to the promotion of young female talent. Since 2020, Stabila has been connecting tradeswomen around the world in a dedicated community and drawing attention to successful women in skilled trades.
Stabila supports the WorldSkills and EuroSkills championships in Europe and internationally and recently became a new premium sponsor of WorldSkills Europe, the European umbrella organisation responsible for organising the European Championships for young tradespeople. For the competition, Stabila equips numerous trades with a wide range of measuring tools that are precisely tailored to their needs. Further information can be found at: www.stabila.com
