Published on 14.12.2023
The Netherlands are the first PSI Country of Honour. This step emphasizes PSI’s position as an international trade show platform and also shows the interdependence between the Netherlands and Germany. The editorial staff of the PSI Journal talked to Joop van Veelen, Chairman of the Dutch association PPP.
How do you evaluate the importance of this partnership?
Joop van Veelen: “This partnership strengthens international cooperation, which is very important for our industry. European cooperation is very important with regard to the many opportunities and threats we face together.“
What do you expect for this partnership at the PSI 2024? What are your goals?
Joop van Veelen: “We expect additional Dutch visitors (particularly PPP members) but certainly hope to meet many international colleagues as well. To share knowledge and experiences and thus strengthen each other and of course to further explain the importance and added value of membership of a trade association.“
With view to the new partnership: What do you plan for the PSI 2024?
Joop van Veelen: “Together with the PSI, we offer extra facilities such as parking, cloakroom and a quick lunch at our stand (In the Dutch Pavilion). We will also draw attention to our manual and would like to exchange our knowledge and experiences on dossiers such as research, promotion of the PPP, CSR, legislation and regulations with other trade associations.
The collaboration with the PSI is already excellent, but it will give us the opportunity to look for even more new opportunities together.“
