Faber-Castell AG – one of the world’s leading companies for high-quality products for writing, drawing, creative design and decorative cosmetics products – announced Dirk Engehausen has been appointed the new chair of the company’s Supervisory Board. Engehausen is taking over the position from Gerhard Berssenbrügge, who resigned from the board at the end of 2023 due to regulatory reasons.
Engehausen, the former CEO of the Schleich Group, a leading manufacturer of realistic figurines and play sets, brings many years of experience from the toy industry with him. Before his employment at Schleich, he was Executive Director of Sales at Tchibo and held various positions at Lego for over 20 years, including Executive Director for European Business.
‘I am honoured to be a part of the Faber-Castell family and to be able to contribute to the company’s continued success,’ says Dirk Engehausen. ‘Faber-Castell is a company with a rich history and a strong commitment to quality and innovation. I look forward to the teamwork within the board and collaborating with the members of the aristocratic family shareholders, the board and the management team to drive growth and value for all stakeholders.’ www.faber-castell.com
