Cybergroup BeachCup for the 10th time: sport and fun

Ketsch in Baden was the venue for a special sporting event on the last weekend of June – in spite of the European Football Championships. This small community attracted around 400 guests from all over Europe and the USA to the 10th Cybergroup BeachCup 2024.

Friday evening was the perfect start to the weekend. Around 250 guests enjoyed the summer weather in great spirits and took the opportunity to “warm up”.

On Saturday, 29 teams competed against each other in a total of 107 exciting matches and delivered seven hours of entertaining recreational sport on four courts to the numerous fans who had travelled with them. The mayor of Ketsch, who opened the tournament in person, took the opportunity to play as well. In spite of the subtropical temperatures of 35 degrees, the atmosphere was great. Thanks to ample catering and refreshing drinks, the athletes and spectators were able to cope well with the heat. The reflects Pirates were on top form and won the tournament, followed by the Mahlwerck Chiggers in second place and the Atlantis Fiori in third.

The strenuous day of sport was followed by an exuberant party at the Bootshaus Mannheim, which lasted until the early hours of the morning.

“The Cybergroup BeachCup 2024 was not only a sporting highlight, but also the sector’s summer party.
