Promotional products supplier Goldstar, headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, is expanding its business into Australia and New Zealand with the acquisition of globalcatalogue, an established family-run company in the Australian promotional products industry. According to a company statement, ‘this strategic move strengthens Goldstar’s global reach and improves product accessibility for distributors worldwide’. It continues: ‘By combining Goldstar’s expertise with globalcatalogue’s deep local roots, the partnership paves the way for new opportunities and a more connected global industry.’

Founded in 1981 and based in Sydney, globalcatalogue brings over four decades of experience and a highly skilled team of advanced ‘global order fulfilment capabilities’ to Goldstar’s growing network. Daniel Derofe will continue as General Manager and will ensure a smooth transition.

The acquisition will increase Australian distributors’ choice of writing instruments, stationery, drinking vessels, bags and more, including faster service and streamlined order fulfilment. Goldstar is also working with globalcatalogue to integrate ESG practices and improve responsible raw material sourcing in both products and operations.

‘We are delighted to welcome globalcatalgoue to the Goldstar family,’ says Heather Smartt, Global Head of Goldstar. ‘This collaboration is an exciting opportunity for a partnership that will benefit the global business and align with our goal of serving more distributors worldwide.’

Daniel Derofe adds: ‘We have built something special with globalcatalogue and this next chapter with Goldstar takes it to the next level. There is still a lot of potential ahead of us!’

As part of its broad-based global growth strategy, Goldstar now operates in North America, Europe and Oceania. The company is also expanding its presence in Italy, Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands. More at: www.simplygoldstar.com
