The German Design Council has distinguished the new concept RASTAL Living Brands with the renowned German Innovation Award 2025 in the category “Excellence in Business to Consumer”. The German Innovation Award recognises products and solutions characterised by an exceptionally high level of innovation, clear effectiveness and particular benefits for users. RASTAL Living Brands marks a technological milestone in brand-oriented glass finishing. The newly developed process impressively enhances the natural perlage of beverages such as beer, sparkling wine or champagne at the marked point in the glass. Thanks to the innovative process, the CO² deconvolution is directed specifically at the brand or the logo on the side of the glass. This creates a visually impressive effect that showcases both the brand and the beverage. The technology can be integrated into existing glass designs and requires no change in handling.

“Receiving the German Innovation Award 2025 is proof for us that innovative spirit and teamwork set trends. We would like to thank the German Design Council for this great honour and our customers and partners for their trust in our innovative concepts,” explains Maximilian Sahm, Managing Partner of RASTAL GmbH & Co. KG. The first customers have already been won over by the concept. “KESSLER is an emotional brand. The RASTAL Living Brands@ technology combines enjoyment with our identity in a glass. It is a fascinating interplay of design and technology,” says Christopher Baur, Managing Partner of CEO, KESSLER Sekt GmbH & Co. KG.

For over a century, RASTAL has stood for excellent glass design and pioneering finishing technologies. As a partner to the beverage industry, the internationally active company from Höhr-Grenzhausen develops customised solutions for presenting beverages in a brand-appropriate manner. The German Design Council has been one of the leading institutions for design, brand and innovation in Germany since 1953. It acts as a globally networked competence centre for knowledge transfer and promotes international exchange in the field of design with numerous programmes. Its members currently include over 330 companies. https://rastal.com
