Umbrellas furthering child protection

The Child Protection Association and FARE continue their campaign
The #SCHUTZschirmfürKINDER campaign, launched in March 2023 by the Child Protection Association and umbrella specialist FARE – Guenther Fassbender GmbH, will continue in 2026, entering its fourth year next March. To date, the campaign has raised almost € 40,000 in donations, helping the Child Protection Association to campaign nationwide for the protection and rights of children and young people. “This is a huge success. The campaign continues to be very well received by customers, so we would like to increase the donations even further,” said Tobias Müller, Head of Marketing at FARE.
This is charitable work with a win-win-win outcome: Distributors, businesses and children all benefit. All participating businesses receive a digital donation certificate, which they can use to showcase their commitment to a more child-friendly society, for example on their own websites and social media channels. FARE also provides a package of texts and images free of charge for communication purposes, which businesses can access via retailers. The aim here is also to spread the campaign message widely in order to gain as many new supporters as possible for the Child Protection Association.
Companies can easily become part of the campaign through retailers. Any company that orders at least 96 printed FARE umbrellas through a promotional product distributor and donates at least €100 can participate. Larger donations are possible and, of course, very welcome, as every euro donated goes directly to the Child Protection Association fund without any commission and is fully tax-deductible. At their own expense, FARE then attaches the campaign sticker to the hang tags of all umbrellas ordered and, on request, also prints the campaign logo on the closure straps. This allows the sponsoring company clearly to demonstrate its social commitment, while at the same time giving the umbrellas an emotional charge.
For distributors, the campaign is an opportunity to suggest a sustainable measure to their customers while offering to implement it for them – with hardly any additional effort required thanks to the streamlined process. The biggest winners are, of course, the children, as the campaign donations provide financial support for one of the countless projects run by the Child Protection Association throughout Germany.
