A major success for RASTAL: the long-established, family-run company from Höhr-Grenzhausen has been awarded the TOP 100 seal for 2026 and is officially recognised as one of Germany’s most innovative small and mid-sized enterprises. This prestigious award acknowledges the company’s exceptionally high level of innovation and its successful development of new solutions for international markets. At the Summit of Small and Mid-Sized German Enterprises in Heidelberg on 26 June, former Federal President Christian Wulff personally congratulated the company on this significant milestone.
RASTAL has always been synonymous with outstanding glassware design, pioneering finishing technologies and innovative solutions for brand presentation in the international drinks industry. In cafés, restaurants, bars and pubs around the world, the company’s products shape the way drinks are perceived and brands are brought to life. Now in its fourth generation of family ownership, the company is one of the world’s leading providers in its sector. “This award confirms our commitment to consistently driving innovation and setting new standards in the international market,” says Maximilian Sahm, Managing Partner. “We are delighted to receive this honour. Our success is based on the courage to rethink tried-and-tested approaches and to design drinking glasses as sensory-optimised ambassadors of brand identities that offer added value.”
RASTAL’s innovative capabilities are particularly evident in customised solutions such as the RASTAL LivingBrands® technology. This newly developed process visually enhances the natural effervescence of drinks such as beer, sparkling wine or champagne in a striking manner, specifically at the marked point on the glass. This innovative process channels the release of CO₂ directly towards the brand or logo on the side of the glass. This creates a visually striking effect that perfectly showcases both the brand and the drink. The technology can be integrated into existing glass designs and requires no change in handling.
“The TOP 100 seal is a striking testament to RASTAL’s leadership in innovation and underlines the company’s ambition to continue to actively shape and decisively influence the future of global beverage presentation in the second century of its history,” said Maximilian Sahm. www.rastal.com
