Artificial leather is rugged and can be custom printed. New software offers a wide variety of design options.

The use of artificial leather instead of animal products offers a number of benefits. The material is as rugged as genuine leather, low cost in production and can be manufactured as continuous web on reels. Furthermore, imitation leather can be produced fast, with consistent quality and various surface textures and can be custom printed.

The novel imitation leather in PVC is a high-tech product that is even supplied in a B1 fire protection grade. It is mainly used as upholstery fabric in the automotive industry or as soft furnishings in residential or contract interiors. Good disinfection and cleaning properties also makes it an attractive alternative for special applications such as in the medical field. Thanks to withstanding weather effects artificial leather is even suitable for outdoor use.

Via the skai® Design Lab imitation leather can be printed digitally. The online configurator has several thousands of designs in store. Parties interested can therefore design and order this leather in individual colours, sizes and repeats for their desired motifs. Printing is possible on two different artificial leather materials with three different embossed surfaces: sand and textile textures and classic leather graining.

An extensive choice of colours in the skai® Design Lab offers a wide variety of possible shades. The product is made in the LAB colour mode, which guarantees a comprehensive and binding colour scale irrespective of the type of printing press.

A digitally printed A3 sample featuring the selected design and printing substrate can be delivered free of charge within 3 to 5 working days. So colours and the scale of the pattern can be examined on the original material before ordering bigger quantities. The minimum quantity for custom-printed artificial leather stands at 50 running metres.
