NSV and ASS Altenburger enter distribution partnership

As from 1 September 2022, Cartamundi Deutschland GmbH (ASS Altenburger) will be exclusively responsible for marketing of the games range covering Qwixx, The Mind and The Game from Nürnberger-Spielkarten-Verlag GmbH (NSV) as part of a distribution partnership in Germany and Austria. This range includes 71 games from the extremely successful Middys, Natureline, Minnys and Kiddys product families.

“The goal of this collaboration is to create synergies and make it easier for businesses to choose from a wider variety of family-friendly card and dice games that are made in Germany and available from a single supplier,” explained Patrick Kellermann, Channel Leader Retail at ASS Altenburger. “As the market leader and specialist in the branch for traditional and children’s card games, we are collaborating with NSV as they have enjoyed an international reputation for many years thanks to their fast, family-friendly games, some of which are award-winning,” continued Kellermann. “There is overlap between target groups for our ranges, which is why we are convinced that this partnership is the right strategy and that we will be able to create a multitude of synergies for our trade partners.”

From now on, the focus for Nürnberger-Spielkarten-Verlag will be far more on the publishing business and developing new products for the successful Middys, Natureline, Minnys and Kiddys product families. In this connection, NSV however is dropping the categories of Basics, Quartette, traditional card games (rummy, sheephead, skat etc.) as well as accessories and dice shakers. In future, they will be concentrating substantially more on further boosting the brand using communications activities such as trade fairs, social media etc.
