Newcomers and start-ups: PSI sets the stage for new ideas
Published on 11.12.2023
Numerous young and innovative companies come to PSI to showcase their philosophy and products.
Market leaders and established brands make PSI 2024 the largest and most important industry event in Europe. But the trade show also sets the stage for new products and new exhibitors. Numerous young and up-and-coming companies will take the opportunity to present their philosophy and products to an international trade audience. “We are very pleased about the great response and are convinced that the entire industry will benefit from it,” emphasises PSI Director Petra Lassahn. Her team provides new exhibitors with intensive advice in advance to ensure that the investment in their PSI presence is worthwhile.
Reputation and reach
Many start-ups and new exhibitors appreciate this support. “The reputation and reach of the PSI trade fair, combined with our passion for high-quality products, makes this event an exceptional opportunity. We look forward to showcasing our brand, exploring industry trends and introducing our products to a wide range of decision-makers and interested parties,” emphasises Luba Hergert from Beefree. The company is placing sustainable and plastic-free products for the kitchen at the centre of its trade fair presence.
Antje Ney from KHK has a particular focus on international customers. “We hope that more foreign retailers will visit the trade fair again and that we can make new contacts here.” The company, which specialises in cosmetics products, was already present at PSI in 2023 and will return next year with innovations related to the trends of sustainability and fair trade.
Umbrella and armoured foil

Originally founded in Miami and Hong Kong, the company has since expanded worldwide and develops modern accessories for mobile devices as well as products for health protection. STRAX will be presenting its versatile range for the first time at PSI 2024.
Producing everyday items sustainably, replacing plastic with plants and localising supply chains – the Agood Company from Sweden is committed to these goals. The company produces shirts and shoes, sportswear and mobile phone cases from recycled materials or renewable raw materials. The goal: transparency towards the customer. The manufacturing process should be traceable and the ecological footprint of each product should be visible.
Blunt combines technology and design to further develop a traditional product such as the umbrella. Improving people’s everyday lives is what drives company founder Greig Brebner. Now he wants to prove to the world that his umbrellas are not disposable, but lifelong companions. Trade visitors to PSI can see the functionality and creative design of the products for themselves.
The pioneers from Green Mnky won over two investors on the TV start-up show “Die Höhle des Löwen”. Their armour protection film is designed to protect smart watches, mobile phones and tablets from scratches and all kinds of damage. The company already has several partnerships with well-known brands. Green Mnky is continuing to grow and is presenting its business model at PSI.
