PSI, Europe’s leading trade fair for promotional products, incentives and merchandising, will take place in Cologne for the first time from 12 to 14 January 2027. The event is organised by RX Deutschland. More than 600 exhibitors and over 10,000 trade visitors from well over 60 countries are expected. New products, future-oriented topics, face-to-face meetings and new business opportunities make PSI in Cologne the industry’s international meeting place.
With this change of venue, PSI combines a comprehensive market overview and face-to-face meetings with forward-looking ideas for the promotional products industry. “The move to Cologne is far more than just a new venue,” says Petra Lassahn, Director of PSI. “Cologne opens up new opportunities for face-to-face meetings, international business contacts and forward-looking ideas for the promotional products industry. PSI remains the kick-off event for the European promotional products year and will continue to develop its profile at the new venue.”
Market overview and new business opportunities
Over 600 exhibitors will be showcasing in Cologne what is driving the promotional products industry today and what will drive it tomorrow: new products, smart solutions and ideas for brands, campaigns and customers.
Major market players are represented alongside new suppliers and innovative product ideas. For visitors, PSI offers guidance, inspiration and concrete business opportunities. Exhibitors will meet an international trade audience: around half of the trade visitors travel from abroad.
The Newcomer Area focuses on companies, products and ideas that will enrich the industry’s product ranges and campaigns in the future. New companies, products and suppliers are waiting to be discovered – as sources of inspiration, potential business partners and perhaps as a starting point for specific client projects.
Textiles remain a key and growing focus of PSI. New content and finishing formats complement the exhibition’s offering and reflect the growing importance of high-quality, personalised and application-specific products.
Focus on future themes
Boris Planer from the Zukunftsinstitut will open PSI with a keynote speech on disruption, megatrends, consumer behaviour, digitalisation and innovation. The trend show will take up these perspectives and translate them into the themes HEALTH SHIFT, SAFE FUTURE and URBAN OUTDOOR.
The exhibition area will showcase which developments may become relevant for products, brands and campaigns, and how these give rise to new business opportunities. In this way, PSI offers guidance in a market characterised by new materials, changing consumer habits, technological developments and increasing demands on products and supply chains.
A space for encounters and new connections
Not every important conversation is in the diary. With the new PSI Bar, PSI is creating a central hub for spontaneous encounters, networking and conversations from which new ideas can emerge. After all, business deals aren’t just struck at exhibition stands, but often wherever people strike up a conversation.
On 12 January 2027, PSI is also hosting PSI Night. It offers the international community a space to continue the day’s discussions in a relaxed atmosphere, nurture existing relationships and forge new connections.
“The promotional products industry thrives on personal contacts, trust and the exchange of new ideas,” says Petra Lassahn. “With the PSI Bar and PSI Night, we are creating additional spaces for conversations, new contacts and shared perspectives.”
Easy access and reliable planning
Cologne offers international exhibitors and trade visitors easy and predictable access. Direct rail links, Cologne/Bonn and Düsseldorf airports, and intercontinental connections via Frankfurt ensure a predictable journey.
The new January date also provides additional planning certainty: in future, PSI will take place outside the Christmas holidays and the public holidays at the start of the year. This makes it easier to organise staff, travel, logistics and trade fair preparations.
