JUNG since 1828 with animal partnership

JUNG since 1828, the specialist for sweet promotional items and other tasty promotional snacks, has taken on a sponsorship for the female koala Auburn at Wilhelma Zoo. Auburn has been living with three other koalas in the newly opened Terra Australis at Stuttgart Zoo since August 2023.

Dennis Dennig, Managing Director of the promotional sweets manufacturer JUNG, was on site at the modern facility with Wilhelma Director Dr Thomas Kölpin to hand over the certificate of sponsorship. There he was also able to experience the curious Auburn live. Dennig is delighted to support Wilhelma’s extraordinary commitment to species conservation with the sponsorship: “Wilhelma is not only one of the most species-rich zoos in the world. It is also committed to protecting endangered species worldwide. As a climate-neutral company, we have made it our mission to make a continuous contribution to environmental and climate protection as well as to social projects. We have been demonstrating our commitment to endangered animal species for over four years by establishing our own bee colonies on the company premises. By sponsoring Auburn, we want to make a further contribution to species conservation.”

Auburn arrived at Wilhelma’s Terra Australis from Australia in August. Like her three conspecifics, the males Aero and Navy and the other female koala Scarborough, she comes from the Australian Dreamworld Wildlife Foundation. The Australian foundation is dedicated to the protection and conservation of endangered native animal species. Koalas are on the IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources) Red List of Threatened Species.

The fact that animals play an important role at JUNG is also demonstrated by the new campaign that the company will launch in January 2024. Visitors to the PSI promotional products trade fair in Düsseldorf from 9 to 11 January 2024 will be able to experience the new – animal-themed – appearance at the JUNG since 1828 stand 10G49. www.jung-europe.de
