RESULT switches to recycled materials

This year, RESULT Clothing Ltd. is beginning to convert its most important models using fully or partially recycled materials. The supplier for high-quality finishing textiles states, ‘It is taking this opportunity to check each of these models to make improvements if necessary.’

The first of these models – the R244X Promo Padded Bodywarmer – was converted entirely to recycled materials. The only visible change is a recycled zipper, a biodegradable polybag and a box with a green label. The vest comes in black, grey and marine blue in the sizes XS-3XL. It is water-repellent, breathable and windproof and has vertical side inserts and padding on the upper body for additional warmth.

The company says it wants to increase the use of recycled material in all its collections to reduce the amount of microplastic fibres released when clothes made from 100% polyester are washed. RESULT points out in this context that the transition logo will indicate when the standard models are switched to recycling. According to RESULT, the company has saved ‘up to 20 million 1 litre PET bottles from landfills’ since the introduction of its recycling line Genuine Recycled in 2020. www.resultrecycled.com
