Where the Swiss industry is vibrant

The Swiss trade fair double – consisting of PromoSwissForum (PSF) and TOUCH – took place for the fourth time in the Umweltarena in Spreitenbach near Zurich: an ideal ambience for an industry that is increasingly scoring points with ecologically responsible products and a focal point of the Swiss promotional products industry.
Organised by PromoSwiss, the Association of the Swiss Advertising Industry, the two days of the fair began on 25 September with the PromoSwissForum, where around 75 exhibitors awaited their trade visitors from the advertising material trade. Traditionally, the evening of this first day was followed by a relaxed and convivial aperitif, followed by the ‘Gala Night’ in the circle of supplier partners and customer guests, where delicious food was served and the coveted PromoSwissAwards were presented. PromoSwiss President Urs Germann and Ina Klingele from the board hosted the evening in a witty and personable manner. Comedian Jörg Knör provided a particularly humorous highlight of the evening programme with his parodistic repertoire of voices, which included those of Angela Merkel, Helmut Schmidt, Karl Lagerfeld and Udo Lindenberg, among others.
TThe second day of the fair was dedicated to the so-called TOUCH, the industry customer day, which attracted a record number of 952 visitors (2023: 860) and impressively demonstrated the interest of Swiss business in the effectiveness of haptic advertising. The 12 sponsoring agencies extending invitations – bb trading, Pandinavia, Kaiser Promotion, Eckert Werbeartikel, Gadget Factory, Simcia, Polydono, Cadolino, Lyreco, Promidea, Promonova and GRAFIC-DESIGN Dubach – awaited their customers at their own counters and enjoyed a steady flow of visitors. The number of exhibitors, which had risen from 62 the previous day to 75, included renowned suppliers and (brand) manufacturers, who presented innovations and trends from almost all product areas of the industry. (We will report on this in detail in the November issue of the PSI Journal.)
