Goldstar®, a global supplier of promotional products – including writing instruments, sweets, beverage bottles and bags – received the EcoVadis® award. Both Goldstar® North America and Goldstar® Europe scored 84 out of 100 points, outperforming 97 per cent of companies evaluated by EcoVadis around the world. The assessment underscores Goldstar’s® ongoing efforts to continue strengthening its sustainability approach, improve transparency and make progress measurable.
“This award reflects Goldstar’s work to continually drive our efforts in the area of sustainability. The gold medal may be an important milestone, but it also gives us a clear overview of where we can still improve ourselves,” says Pedro Moniz, Global Sustainability Manager.
For Goldstar®, the EcoVadis® gold medal is more than just an award. In a company statement, it says the company focuses on helping its customers get more transparency through different initiatives and achieve measurable progress.
• Digital product passports: Available for selected Goldstar® bags so that customers can get a better understanding of a product’s components and the origin of the materials.
• Annual ESG report: Goldstar® publishes an annual ESG report that documents the progress and achievements that the company has made in terms of its sustainability targets.
• Made Better™ products: A growing share of the Goldstar® product range has the Made Better™ label and includes products that are made from recycled materials.
Looking ahead, Goldstar® is using EcoVadis’ assessment to identify opportunities for further progress and has set itself the goal of reaching the platinum award in 2027. www.somplygoldstar.com
