Seven times PSO certified

For the seventh time in succession – and hence without interruption since 2009 – calendar manufacturer terminic from Bremen has been certified according to ISO 12647:2013 (FOGRA 51 PSO coated v3) in the ProzessStandard Offsetdruck (PSO) for sophisticated 100 grid cardboard box printing.

“We are delighted to have successfully passed the routine PSO inspection, since the renewed certification reinforces our own quality claim on our promotional calendars,” says Michael Rügler, head of operations at terminic GmbH. “Working according to PSO benefits both the customer and company. Consistent quality, repeatability due to defined standards, and assured deadlines on the customer side – improved plannability, permanently constant production courtesy of standardised procedures and process components plus more efficient throughput times on the company side. Clear advantages for both sides,” reports Rügler.

In order to live up to the self-imposed high quality standards at all times, terminic has been working with its own “PSO team”, which comprises specialist in-house staff from the printing and preliminary stage areas, ever since 2009. They are dedicated to quality management in the printing of 100 grid on GC1 boxes and follow a continuous optimisation process at the same time. This is regularly inspected by PSOaktiv four times a year and has undergone confirmation once again.

ProzessStandard Offsetdruck certification was jointly developed by the German Print and Media associations and Fogra. It describes an industrially oriented and standardised way of proceeding during the manufacture of print products in ISO 12647. www.terminic.eu
